Witch means to know, also means to dare.
To be a witch is to have knowledge, but also is to dare because you need to be brave enough to be who you are.
Throughout this series, I've met and spoken to many, many people who call themselves witches.
Sometimes it's a loud and central part of their identity they want people to know.
It's often in their Instagram handle or even part of their work.
Sometimes it's a quieter inkling held close to the chest.
Some people even see the word as a form of reclaiming something that was lost hundreds of years ago.
But there is not one definition of a witch.
And for many people the word is only met with fear because, as we know, to be called a witch by someone else, that has historically been slanderous, shaming and even fatal.
Witch can be a thorny, sticky bur hard to shake off.
And the idea of a witch hunt is still very much alive.

Can you tell me about how you grew up and how the idea of the witch started to be a part of your life?
Well, it was more the supernatural that became part of my life when I was little because my father was very much in the occult path.
Ness Bosch is a pagan, a high priestess and a witch.
She grew up in southern Spain with a father and mother who were at Spain spiritual odds with each other.
