BBC Sounds Music Radio Podcasts what do you think happens to us when we die?
Death is the universal and inevitable end.
And yet it feels impossible to understand.
I've always held tight to the belief that when we die, it's like a light just goes out.
And even though I think I believe this, I also know I have a thorny relationship with death.
It leaves me lost for words.
I'm not at all comfortable with the end.
But then, who is?
Well, spending time with witches is starting to alter this.
All the witches I meet have a sort of ease with death that I've not really seen before, and a proximity to the dead that I've never dared to seek.
And now I don't know what to think.
From BBC Radio 4, I'm India Rackerson and this is Witch Episode 11 through the Veil so it's October 31st, which means that it is Halloween.
Yeah, I remember this night so well.
The rain pours down gutters and makes everything black and slick.
Autumn really feels like witch season.
I used to love Halloween.
I'd throw parties and dye mashed potato acid green and watch Scream 2.
But I've never celebrated Samhain.
Samhain is witches New Year and it's a pagan festival marking a moment when the veil is at its thinnest.
