单集简介 ...

In this week’s episode, Felix, Mihir and Bloomberg’s Sarah Green Carmichael discuss the writers’ strike in Hollywood. Why do we suddenly see a strike during “the golden era of television” and amidst intensifying streaming wars? What are the thorniest issues? How do they speak to challenges for knowledge workers more generally? Plus, why you should love meetings. (We are not kidding!) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

  • Hello, everyone.

  • This is After Hours.

  • I'm Felix.

  • I'm Mihir.

  • And I'm Sarah.

  • Welcome back, Sarah.

  • Great to see you, Sarah.

  • Thank you guys so much for having me.

  • You are literally just back in country, right?

  • Yes.

  • I've just come back from what has become a regular hiking trip in the uk, in the English Lake District.

  • Ooh.

  • I actually remember a long time ago we talked your fascination with the Lake District.

  • And you've been doing this for many years now?

  • No, I've been doing this trip for many years with an interruption for Covid and then maternity leave.

  • I love this area of the uk.

  • It's beautiful.

  • It's mountainous and slightly obsessive.

  • People like me like to go around collecting all of the mountain peaks in this area.

  • So I have a list that I've been working my way through and checking it off as I hike each mountain.
