  • And the first glimmer of hope came in February when law enforcement in the US And UK took aim at a group called Lockbit.

  • The FBI says it infiltrated one of the world's most prolific hacker gangs and shut down its site on the Dark Web.

  • It's been a crazy year.

  • It's shocked everyone.

  • It turns out that was the beginning of a banner year of cybercriminal takedowns that force cybercriminals to completely restructure the way they operate.

  • Which is why we called Alexander Leslie.

  • He's a threat intelligence analyst at Recorded Future.

  • And he said that 2024 was like nothing he'd ever seen before.
