Foreign this is Monocle on Design, a show where we discuss everything from architecture and craft to furniture and product design.
I'm Nick Minise.
On today's program, it's a film special.
We take a look at some recent releases on the silver screen.
The take a cinematic view of the built environment.
We'll go on a green global design tour and take a look at New Zealand's mid century brutalism.
All that and more coming up on Monocle On Design.
I'm joined now in the studio by this show's producer, Mailie Evans.
Hi, Mae Lee.
Hello.
How are you settling into the new year?
Tell me about it.
It's always full throttle here at Monocle, so, you know, we can't rest too much.
We've got to get back into the swing of things.
I thought this would be a great way to kick off the year.
Watching some films is a nice way to start things, to sort of ease yourself back in.
Because it is work to be clear watching them.
But it's also fun doing it.
It is.
And it's also quite inspiring just seeing the way that design can be communicated or different facets of it explained.
