Rescuers continue to search for trapped survivors a day after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake jolted Shijang.
The earthquake emergency response in the southwestern Chinese Autonomous Region, also known as Tibet, is at the highest level after a quake hit Dingra county in Shigatsa, killing at least 126 people and injuring nearly 190 others.
The disaster also toppled thousands of rural houses on the northern slope of the Himalayas, damaging roads and cutting off power.
Workers have restored communications and cleared all roads leading to the disaster area.
Rescuers are setting up tents for the homeless amid freezing temperatures.
