Rescuers are searching for survivors after a 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Shijang.
The quake jolted Dingre county in the southwestern Chinese region, also known as Tibet.
The disasters killed around 100 people and injured many others.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered rescue efforts to save lives and minimize casualties.
He's also urged efforts to prevent secondary disasters and properly resettle affected residents.
The central Authorities are offering 200 million yuan or US$27 million for relief efforts.
They've also sent personnel to assist with local disaster relief efforts.
Central Authorities have dispatched 22,000 relief items including tents, coats, quilts and folding beds.
Disaster relief authorities are also collecting heat, blankets, winter clothing and food for people in the high al altitude quake stricken area.
First responders from the People's Liberation army have arrived in the disaster zone.
