Now checking the day's top stories, Chinese President Xi Jinping says the country will continue to play its role as the biggest engine of world economic growth.
He made the remarks while meeting heads of major international economic organizations in Beijing.
President Xi said China is willing to work with economic organizations to practice multilateralism, promote international cooperation and support the development of countries in the global South.
He adds adds that China has full confidence it will achieve this year's economic economic growth target.
The President also expressed hope that the US Will work with China to push bilateral relations toward a steady, healthy and sustainable direction.
He said tariffs and trade wars have no winners and that China is willing to maintain dialogue, expand cooperation and manage differences with the U.S.
