What excites me most about the UK tech landscape over the next five years is not tech in itself,
but the application of tech across the economy.
It's really exciting.
Tech is driving change and innovation.
Welcome to the United Kingdom, where the brightest tech innovators reshaping our world are celebrated.
This year the Department for Business
and Trade are spotlighting global trailblazing entrepreneurs through the Unicorn Kingdom Pathfinder Awards.
John Edwards is the Director for Investment and one of the judges for the awards.
The Department of Business and Trade sees helping investors as its core mission.
We help find things that they can invest in, so create a market.
We can help them with the practical things that they need, whether it's planning,
finding an office, getting the visas, getting the finance R and D support that they need.
And then we see this as a long term project and a long term support mechanism.
So after they've landed, if there are things that they still need help with, we can help them with that.
What was so special about being a judge
at the Unicorn Kingdom Pathfinder Awards was the opportunity to see some of these companies right there beginning their journey
into the UK market
and investing in the uk.
