49 分钟If the weather outside is howling and even the simplest winter walk finds you blown off your feet, it is music,
books and a corner of an art gallery that will make sure this period of hunkering down is is rich,
inspiring and sustaining.
And so, on this episode of Confett Corner, we'll meet musician Daniela Weimann,
who goes by the monkey at Odd Beholder and whose lyrics often reflect familiar moments of everyday life,
making them into things of beauty.
We'll join her in her studio on the banks of the River Limmat in the Swiss town of Baden.
We'll also be in Burgundy for a site specific art exhibition called Terra,
which delves into the history of the region as an inspiration for avant garde interventions.
And we'll review Irish writer Ema McBride's new book about love life and the demands of careers and relationships.
All this and our own tips
and itineraries that will help you fill your February with nourishing life affirming artistic escapism.
This is Confett Corner and I'm your host, Sophie Grove.
Creating music in my studio sustains me emotionally during a very long time.
It doesn't feel like work, you know.
Whenever we're approaching a project, we always ask ourselves, why this?
Why here, why now?
The idea of people who spend their lives looking at others and imagining themselves into the inner world of others.
Very interesting.
And of course, as a writer, I do that as well.
