This is the Guardian.
Today.
From trade wars to turning Gaza into the Riviera of the Middle east,
how should the world respond to Donald Trump's reckless approach to foreign policy?
That's a lot of press.
Congratulations.
You bring them out.
You really bring them out.
Whichever world leader Donald Trump chose to welcome first on his return
to the White House was always going to send a signal about his second presidency.
Today, I'm delighted to welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu back to the White House.
That it was Benjamin Netanyahu was a clear sign of where Trump's sympathies lie in the Middle East.
It's a wonderful feeling and a wonderful event.
We had fantastic talks.
That Trump supports Israel is no surprise,
but what he announced during a press conference after the meeting on Tuesday quite casually shocked the world.
Not only did he say that millions of Palestinians would have to leave Gaza,
but that the US would take over the Strip and that they would own it.
And we will do a job with it, too.
We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site.
