  • The occupation there refers to Israel.

  • Among the reasons being cited are Palestinian accusations that Israel is continuing some aspects of its operation

  • in Gaza in violation of the ceasefire.

  • In turn, Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has accused Hamas of breaking the ceasefire deal.

  • He said he was putting Israeli Defense Forces on the highest alert, and within the last few minutes,

  • the Israeli government has said it is significantly raising the alert level for its troops all around the Gaza area.

  • The mother of one hostage still being held in Gaza, though,

  • accused the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, of wanting the deal to fail.

  • Hamas's announcement to halt the agreement is a direct result of Netanyahu's reckless behavior today.
