parents need to understand that even when a parent is unskillful in doing things that we don't agree with,
we don't have the option to just sort of kick them off the island.
We just don't.
Welcome to the Couples Therapist Couch, the podcast for couples therapists,
marriage counselors, and relationship coaches to explore the practice of couples therapy.
And now, your host, Shane Burkle.
Hey, everybody.
Welcome back to the Couples Therapist Couch.
This is Shane Burkle, and this is the podcast that's all about the practice of couples therapy.
Thank you so much for tuning in.
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist, and I try to bring you the best guests,
the best topics in the world of couples therapy.
And the episode that I have for you today is an interview with Karen Bonnell.
And she came on in episode number 36, all the way back, and episode number 73.
In episode 36, she talked about co-parenting through divorce.
And this is her area of expertise.
And then in number 73, she talked about step families.
So she's really good.
She's written books.
She's the author of the step family handbook.
