Hi there.
Welcome to Business Matters here on the BBC World Service.
My name's Ed Butler.
And on our program today,
we are looking at all the various diplomatic maneuvers that are going on right now to end the war in Ukraine.
US Representatives are heading to meet Russians in Saudi Arabia later on Tuesday.
Ahead of that, European leaders have been reinforcing their intention to boost defence spending.
We're also going to be talking, talking about e waste in the program.
What happens to all of those devices that we used to love but don't anymore?
Where do they end up when they're no longer of use?
And how Canadians are now reacting to Donald Trump's threats of sanctions and more,
they're boycotting American products.
I don't think this is a temporary shift
in the attitude of Canadian consumers now towards American goods.
They no longer are viewing the Americans as a reliable partner and friend.
That's the view of one leading Canadian grocer.
It is interesting,
he thinks that this reflects an enduring change in Canadian attitudes towards their neighbour to the south.
I wonder.
