1 小时 46 分钟What's up, everybody?
Welcome back to the Honest Drink.
We got a really cool episode for you guys today.
And so to give you some context, in one of our previous episodes, I believe it's number 148 with Yiming Wang.
We talk about personality traits and personality assessments, specifically one that I took called Lumina Spark.
And if you listen to the episode, we explore the results of my own assessment and talk about how revealing and insightful I found it to be.
Well, today we got a really special treat.
I sit down with the guy that actually developed and created this personality model, Dr. Stuart Dessen, along with key members of his team who are psychologists and development experts in their own right.
So today we talk about the challenges of personality stereotypes, psychological and neurodiversity, and the impact of psychometric assessments on personal development and organizational culture.
We talk about the prevalence of bias and some of the limitations of the more traditional psychometric tools.
We talk about society, particularly the overvaluation of extroversion and the need for a more inclusive approach to how we value certain personality traits, especially in recruitment and hiring practices.
We also talk about improving relationships, managing conflict, our sense of control over our own lives, what it takes to actually change our personalities when we might want to try, and if that's even possible.
So without further ado, please give it up for Dr. Stuart Dessen, yiming Wang, and Jonathan Cannon.
Like you said, He Ming, it's also great to see you again as well.
Last time was fun.
It was a lot of fun having you on.
Right.
Thank you.
The again, the Lumina assessment tool that we took beforehand when we did our last episode, as I said, our podcast, I thought it was very revealing for me personally and honestly.
I'm not even saying this because you guys are all sitting here today.
