You're listening to the Briefing, first broadcast on the 4th of March, 2024 on Monocle Radio.
Hello and welcome to the Briefing, broadcasting live from Studio one here at Midori House in London.
I'm Chris Chermak.
Coming up on today's program now, maybe somebody doesn't want to make a deal.
And if somebody doesn't want to make a deal, I think that person won't be around very long.
After days of attacking Volodymyr Zelenskyy's leadership,
Donald Trump tries to force the Ukrainian president's hand by halting US Military aid
to Ukraine from Kyiv to an economic war closer to home,
as we were ready to do last time,
we will have a strong, unequivocal and proportional response, as Canadians expect.
Canada's Justin Trudeau responds to the US Introduction of tariffs,
which also head to Thailand for a look at why Japanese
and US Embassies are issuing security warnings.
All that right here on the Briefing with me, Chris Termak.
The Trump administration has drawn the consequences
from Friday's dust up with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
and suspended American military aid with immediate effect.
Those are the reports at least.
The question now becomes whether Ukraine can continue fighting
and to what degree Russia will take advantage.
