Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing made the pledge at the two day Paris AI Action Summit,
which concluded on Wednesday.
China has also joined 60 other countries
in signing an international agreement on artificial intelligence,
pledging an open, inclusive, ethical and safe approach to the technology's development.
The United States and Britain refused to sign the declaration.
The event gathered over 1,500 heads of state,
officials of international organizations, CEOs and scientists from around a hundred countries.
