  • Hi, welcome back to Eat your Crust podcast.

  • I'm Jisoo.

  • And I'm Angela.

  • This week we have an exciting guest.

  • Her name is Angela and she is from Real you Mandarin.

  • So Angela, why don't you take the floor floor and explain what all of that is.

  • Yes.

  • Hey guys, thanks for having me on the show.

  • I'm Angela Lynn.

  • I'm also a fellow AAPI podcaster.

  • So maybe some of you recognize my voice.

  • I also host the but where are you really from podcast.

  • But as Krystal mentioned, I founded Real you Mandarin.

  • It's something I started last year and essentially we offer online Mandarin courses of for mainly American born Mandarin speakers.

  • So people like us that are more like second generation whose parents immigrated from the motherland.

  • So we kind of balance two or more languages but aren't fully able to express ourselves.

  • Main point being to get people to be able to realistically express their opinions and thoughts like we can in English.

  • So that's why the real you part, I think we'll talk about it in more of this episode.

  • But last year essentially I had a lot of thoughts around language and I was like, if you can't express yourself through a different language, you really are locked into like a very small portion of who you are.
