The Kremlin says Russian President Vladimir Putin's agreed to halt attacks on energy infrastructure in Ukraine.
It follows a phone call between Putin and his US Counterpart, Donald Trump.
Trump described the call as good and productive and said they agreed the three year conflict needs to end with lasting peace.
The White House says the US And Russia will launch technical negotiations on conducting a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea.
The Kremlin's statement insists
that the condition for peace is a complete cessation of Western military and intelligence support for Ukraine's military.
