My name is Jack, and I'm here with my co host, Sochil.
And today we are in the vocabulary spotlight and social.
There's this thing, like, a lot of our slang comes from african american culture, you know, hip hop culture.
And what happens over the, like, ten years, you know, when something emerges a new word, at first it's just the young people that use it, and then it has this odd thing where it actually reaches the highest levels of society, where people even on the news will use these terms.
And that's why new ones are always being created, because the old ones are kind of stolen from, fades out of fashion.
Right.
Yeah.
But then it just kind of works its way into the mainstream.
And so I've got a list of about eight of them.
And I thought you could just kind of define what they are and.
Because I know you'll know what they are, but I know what they are too, because they're old.
People use these now.
So the first one is bling.
