  • Hello, everybody.

  • My name is coach Shane, and welcome to easy english expressions.

  • Come on, let's master English.

  • Hello, everybody.

  • Welcome back to Daily Easy English expression.

  • The podcast number 1131 got a great expression today.

  • It comes from baseball.

  • If you know about baseball, the idea is you gotta hit the ball and then you have to run around the bases.

  • There's a first base, a second base, a third base, and home home plate.

  • So if you can make it all the way around, then you get one point.

  • Now that's the basic idea.

  • You don't really have to need.

  • You don't really need to know that.

  • But what you do need to know is first base is the first step.

  • It's not enough.

  • Second base is better.

  • Third base is good, but you got to go all the way home.

  • So step one, first base.

  • Step two, second base.

  • Step three, third base.
