单集简介 ...

The #MeToo movement deluged the Dear Sugars inbox with letters about sexual harassment in the workplace. In the final episode in our series on sexual consent, the Sugars read some of these letters and discuss what happens when non-consensual sexual attention moves from the private to the public realm. This episode was originally published on March 24th, 2018.

  • Produced by the ilab at Wbur Boston.

  • The universe has good news for the lost, lonely and heartsick.

  • The sugars are here speaking straight into your ears.

  • I'm Steve Almond.

  • I'm Cheryl strayed.

  • This is dear sugars.

  • Oh, dear so won't you please share some little sweetness with me?

  • I check my bell vibes every day oh, and the sugar you see in my way hi, Steve.

  • Hi, Cheryl.

  • So it's part three of our series on consent.

  • We're working in the gray today exploring workplace sexual harassment and specifically consent in the professional arena.

  • Have you ever been sexually harassed in the workplace?

  • No, I have not.

  • I have been the object of attention from somebody, a female colleague, that I did not want, and I was persistent.

  • But my general experience is that I've been privileged enough to live within a bubble where if I got unwanted attention, I felt I could pretty much gracefully exit with no consequences.

  • This is the big distinction I would make.

  • It's not the unwanted attention, it's the consequences when you turn away from it or rebuff it.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • I don't know.
