1 小时 9 分钟Hey there.
So today's show is going to be a little bit different.
Instead of a deep dive conversation with guests, it's just me talking to you.
Sharing a framework specifically developed to help accomplish big, often complicated, but deeply desired and meaningful things in all parts of life.
You know, 2020 was a year we will never forget, and nor should we.
Plans and dreams and visions took a backseat to a universe imposed mandate to hold everything lightly, to appreciate every moment, every relationship, and find gratitude for whatever semblance of grace or window of peace might have found us.
To make room for uncertainty and upheaval and plans.
For so many, they took a backseat to survival, disruption, change, revolution, revelation, and the carving away of blinders and assumptions and the illusions and ideals around equity and safety and the notion that all was good in the world.
It forced us to reckon with reality.
And I think the question on a lot of our minds as we step into this new year is, where do we go from here?
And we can answer that in a lot of ways, and we should, and we will.
On an individual level, it feels like so many of us are looking to step back into 2021 with an intention of reclaiming a sense of purpose, of agency, of direction, a certain generative stance.
We want to make things happen, things that matter to us, for sure, but also, for many, on a much bigger scale, which is honestly a little bit of a challenge given the year we're coming out of, where plans rapidly gave way to profound disruption and groundlessness.
You know, 2020 was the year we learned to start paying attention, to hold plans and expectations lightly and be ready to do whatever was needed to first just be okay, and next find new ways forward.
It was a year that took a toll, and for many, it continues to take a toll.
And it's important to acknowledge that and not shame anyone for where they are or are not at this moment in time.
We are all doing the best we can.
We're all moving through this season from different places also.
And for many, the last year, beyond plans that vanished, there was a level of baseline anxiety and unease that made it brutally hard to focus, to act, to create, to make big, meaningful things happen.
And at the same time, it also showed us a new way of being and relating, and in this context, maybe even creating and building.
