Expanding on her discussion of the happiness lessons we can learn from the Greek thinker Socrates, Dr Laurie Santos reads two key passages from Plato’s The Apology. The book contains the speeches of Socrates as he stood trial accused of corrupting the youth of Athens with his radical views that everything should be questioned and challenged. Laurie's readings illustrate the important Socratic argument that we know far less that we think, and also includes Socrates' reaction to being handed a death sentence at the end of his trial.
